ICT RTD Technological Audit Estonia DG INFSO (http://ec.europa.eu/dgs/information_society/index_en.htm) carries out a Technological Audit on information and communication technologies (ICT) research capabilities in each of the EU 12 states in order to identify a number of elements that include: - The ICT RTD policy environment and the opportunities and barriers it presents;
- The status of the ICT RTD activities identifying the centres of excellence and centres with development potential per FP7 – ICT Theme Challenge and Objective;
- The actions that need to be taken at national and European level to increase the participation of organisations carrying out ICT RTD in both the private and public sector.
