Kats joined the Institute of Baltic Studies in 2012 as a project-based analyst on a project concerning the promotion of equal treatment. Her main research interests are related to social cohesion, education, cultural diversity and (political) awareness.
Kats holds an MA degree from the University of Tartu; she has complemented it with studies in Italy and Lisbon, and is currently a PhD student at the Institute of Government and Politics in the University of Tartu. In addition, she is an adjunct lecturer at the University of Tartu giving lecture courses on public opinion and political behaviour. She has previous experience in applied research having worked as an analyst at the Federation of Estonian Student Unions (EÜL) and a media discussions analyst at the Estonian Law Centre Foundation. |
