By now you may have realised that living and working in Estonia may differ from your previous experiences. Or maybe you have already faced some situations at your workplace on your own which you really didn’t understand? This workshop aims to help you understand the Estonian society and improve your working-life experience in Estonia, and is tailored in a way to ensure that each participant’s needs are met.
The special emphasis of the workshop is on the working culture in Estonia. First, we will give you information and practical knowledge on different aspects of the Estonian life and culture. In addition, we will discuss some typical scenarios which may occur at a (new) workplace and by comparing it with your previous experiences, discuss how to tackle them in the Estonian workplace. For example, the situations will touch upon power distance in Estonian workplaces, leadership styles, work ethics and time keeping. If you have a specific topic you would like to be touched upon, please indicate it in the registration form.
The workshop will be carried out by Siiri Sutt. Siiri has over 15 years of international experience as expat support professional, cross-cultural trainer, language instructor, and executive search and talent management consultant. Siiri has lived in Estonia, USA and Luxembourg.
Participation in the workshops is free and snacks and refreshments will be offered. But places are limited so please register here. Please let us know if you are not coming to the workshop from Tallinn as we can offer you reimbursement for the tickets.
The workshops are co-funded by the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund of the European Union.
