We have conducted applied research and evaluations of programmes and policies in this field. As stand-alone projects and also as part of broader projects, we have focused on, among other things, the importance of formal and non-formal education, informed self-improvement, support for development and subsistence in the labour market. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<div id=\"acf-block_61c411bd22be3\" class=\"acf-block-element element-bg w-max\"><div class=\"container\">\n\n<p class=\"has-semilarge-font-size wp-el\"><strong>In the field of education, youth and the labour market, our activities are diverse: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<ul class=\"has-semilarge-font-size wp-el wp-block-list\"><li><strong>We carry out surveys also for advocacy organisations and NGOs<\/strong>, for example, to find out about the impact of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ibs.ee\/publikatsioonid\/ajakirja-hea-kodanik-mojuanaluus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">magazine Good Citizen<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ibs.ee\/publikatsioonid\/eesti-maastikuarhitektuuri-hariduse-hetkeolukorra-ja-arenguvajaduste-kaardistamine\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the education and labour market opportunities for landscape architects<\/a> and for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ibs.ee\/en\/projects\/robotex-impact-analysis-2017-2019\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">developing the Robotex competition<\/a>. <\/li><\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<ul class=\"has-semilarge-font-size wp-el wp-block-list\"><li><strong>We also help develop information materials and organise training<\/strong> on related topics, e.g. for foreign students in the Estonian labour market (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ibs.ee\/en\/projects\/various-trainings-and-events-to-introduce-estonian-labour-market-to-postgraduate-students-from-third-countries\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">project AMIF 2020-4<\/a>). <\/li><\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-semilarge-font-size wp-el\">IBS is also a member of the Applied Research Council of the Ministry of Education and Research. In international cooperation, IBS has contributed to the European Commission&#8217;s European Semester review of Estonian social policy and was the Estonian coordinator of the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights&#8217; research network <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ibs.ee\/en\/projects\/eu-agency-for-fundamental-rights-fra-research-network\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">FRANET<\/a> from 2011 to 2018. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-semilarge-font-size wp-el\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ibs.ee\/projektid\/\">Learn more about our projects, research and activities
