Results of the Robotext Impact Study 2017-2019<\/a><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Since 2008, more than two million euros have been invested in school robotics in Estonia, which is the largest investment in robotics per capita in the world. Consequently, almost half of Estonian schools are equipped with robots and can organize robotics-related activities. The aim of this study is to analyse the impact and significance of the Robotex competition to understand its significance and needs for development. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The study will delve into secondary sources and conduct comprehensive surveys among participants and their supervisors from the Robotex competition. This research will explore the following key topics:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. Significance, impact and relevance of the competition;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Impact based on the type of competition, but also age, place of residence and other relevant indicators of participants;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. The impact of Robotex competition on participants and their supervisors;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. The effectiveness in meeting the set goals and priorities;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Socio-demographic profile (or profiles) of competitors;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Participants\u2019 assessment and their views on Robotex;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. Wishes, needs and expectations of participants.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    The results of the study will provide a better overview of the importance of the Robotex competition, its impact and its relevance to the participants. The results also help to understand the fulfillment of the competition\u2019s goals, map the participants\u2019 feedback and plan further development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    By the end of August, the comprehensive final report will be completed, providing detailed insights and actionable recommendations. Eventually, the study is funded by Robotex NGO<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
