The development and use of indicators in integration debates\u201d led by the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cidob.org\/\">Barcelona Centre for International Affairs (CIDOB)<\/a>, and the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.migpolgroup.com\/\">Migration Policy Group (MPG)<\/a>. The project aimed to inform and engage key policy actors about how to use indicators to improve integration governance and policy effectiveness. The main objectives of the project were:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">To identify and measure integration outcomes, integration policies, and other contextual factors that can impact policy effectiveness;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">To describe the real and potential beneficiaries of policies in seven key areas, namely employment, education, political participation, access to nationality, family reunification, long-term residence, and anti-discrimination.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">To collect and analyse high-quality evaluations of integration policy effects.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The key research outputs will be an interactive website building on the successful\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mipex.eu\/\">MIPEX website<\/a>\u00a0and an E-book presenting all the data through easy-to-use country profiles, analysis, and databases.\u00a0<\/span>Migrant Integration Policy Index (MIPEX) is a unique tool which measures policies to integrate migrants. 167 policy indicators have been developed to create a rich, multi-dimensional picture of migrants\u2019 opportunities to participate in society. The index is a useful tool to evaluate and compare what governments are doing to promote the integration of migrants in all the countries analysed.<\/p>\n<p>The new edition (MIPEX2015) includes information on 38 countries: all EU Member States, Australia, Canada, Iceland, Japan, South Korea, New Zealand, Norway, Switzerland, Turkey and the USA.
