The goal of RPL is to make learning more flexible by allowing learners to account for prior studies, training courses, self-directed learning, and work experience when pursuing education or applying for professional qualifications.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el\">The implementation of RPL in higher, vocational, and in general education, as well as in the qualification system, is limited and inconsistent. RPL is primarily viewed as a mechanism for recognizing prior formal learning rather than work experience. Consequently, many skills acquired through non-formal learning or work experience by adult learners remain unrecognized.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el\">The aim of the project is to assess applicants&#8217; awareness and experiences with RPL, identify the reasons behind its limited use, and propose opportunities to promote and improve the use of RPL.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el\">The study employs both qualitative and quantitative methods, including focus group interviews, surveys, and participatory observation, as well as analysis of existing statistics on RPL applications and usage. Data will be collected from both potential RPL users and RPL advisors and assessors.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The aim of the project is to assess applicants&#8217;
