Mapping of needs of migrant women living in Estonia, and empowering the women, and creating materials for organizations working with migrant women

Women with a migration background often have fewer opportunities to leave situations of intimate partner violence and to protect their rights. This project maps the situation of immigrant women in terms of their exposure to gender-based violence and intimate partner violence (hereinafter: GBV/IPV) and their ability to find help; it also organises discussions in which, among other things, the most important challenges and possible solutions are identified using co-creation methods; and it shares this knowledge with organizations that work either with immigrants or with women experiencing GBV/IPV.

As a result of the project, immigrant women will be more aware of their rights and of their options for seeking help, and organisations working with women will gain a better understanding of the needs of immigrant women experiencing GBV/IPV, as well as greater readiness to support women with a migration background.
